This branding project was developed in response to a brief posted by the Instagram account @modernbrief. The challenge was to create a vibrant and exciting hummus brand inspired by bold, youthful companies like Coolhaus and Norte. Aimed at a young adult audience, the brand needed to emphasize natural ingredients and playful energy.
To highlight the freshness of the product, I incorporated hand-drawn illustrations of the ingredients across the packaging. Each flavour features its own distinctive colour scheme, carefully selected to complement the ingredients and visually differentiate the varieties. The palette draws from 1970s-inspired tones—warm, nostalgic, and attention-grabbing—while echoing the natural colours of hummus and its components.
The logo uses a thick, rounded font that evokes the creamy texture of hummus, paired with a more structured, square typeface to create a balanced contrast between softness and stability. This interplay brings personality and structure together, reinforcing both the playful and trustworthy aspects of the brand.
