Interference Album Art and Social Media

Interference is an ambient EP by Halle O'Malley exploring the emotional tension between euphoria and guilt within a volatile political landscape. Alongside composing the music, I created the album artwork, social media visualisers, and promotional content. The visuals combine blurred, grainy textures with glowing overlays of news footage, including missile strikes in Iran, Palestine, Congo, and Ukraine, to evoke a sense of disorientation and emotional complexity. At the centre of each video sits a minimal looping graphic: a flower rotating, a sun rising through a window, and a flat-building switching its lights on. These quiet, everyday symbols contrast the chaos around them, grounding the viewer in fleeting moments of calm. A bright, synthetic colour palette reinforces the artificial, impermanent nature of both the visuals and the emotions they reflect.
