The Challenge:
To visually represent the emotional contradiction of feeling personal euphoria while existing within a volatile global political landscape.
The Idea:
Juxtapose moments of quiet domestic calm against fragmented, glowing news footage to create visual interference — mirroring the tension between internal emotion and external reality.
Execution:
I developed a cohesive visual system built around:
Blurred, grain-textured news footage layered with synthetic glow effects
A bright, artificial colour palette to suggest impermanence and emotional distortion
Minimal looping symbols (a rotating flower, a rising sun, apartment lights switching on) to anchor the chaos
The identity extended across album artwork, motion visualisers, and social content, creating a consistent visual language across platforms.
