The Jive Turkey

The Jive Turkey is a self-initiated food and drink project used as a way to explore art direction and systems-led content design through making. Working across short-form video, still imagery, and editorial writing, the project looks at how graphic design principles — hierarchy, consistency, restraint, and tone — translate into social-first storytelling.

I handle the project end to end, from concept and filming through to lighting, colour grading, editing, typography, sound and layout. The work prioritises texture, atmosphere, and human presence, with an intentional move away from overly polished or instructional content in favour of warmth, narrative, and a more lived-in feel. Inspired by the atmosphere of a 1970s dinner party, and the after-hours that follow.

The project is ongoing, and acts as a space to experiment across formats while building and maintaining a clear, cohesive visual identity.
